What would the rib be? Protector of the heart.
This he knew and thus he treated me as his protector, as his way of knowing the heart on Earth. He had seen the truth of all, had seen his own Godself in the other world through the veil. He knew he, and we, were all this, were all connected extensions of our own Godself and our own “Father”. What on the Earth would know to protect this truth in daily living? A woman’s ways.
A woman’s ways to go about her life in love and care and adventure for it all. This he said. For me the adventure was with men and knowing men and leading them towards their own truer selves. This he knew.
“She is God”, he would say to his fellows. “She is God.”
When we got that far in the teaching, everyone knew we loved each other. It caused many feelings in others. And that was there to be understood as well. For them.
In this he protected me but in truth I felt little need. I was used to being “unto no man”, a virgin in that sense of the older ways. I brought forward those older ways of women in my being, as he brought forward the true ways of his Father. This he knew of me, that my ways in the world belonged to another time and place and not merely to the time we lived in.
He knew this, in his way being a “seer”. He saw the older temple life of women living separate from men, he knew these ways of life to be sacred to women.
He knew that refinement of aesthetics was ours to give, that we had given it before and would give it again in the Golden Age to come. But not now, he would say, now will be the struggle. This could sometimes be a sad moment between us, the moment of knowing the struggle.
This moment would come before or after making love, always cured by love.
